Alethea Junior Nature Club Meeting July 2021
The Alethea Junior Nature Club held its inaugural meeting on Monday, 5th July 2021.
The guest speaker, Dr Richard Dauben, spoke of an adventure he is currently on- sailing around the world! The students were captivated by his tales of diving and the animals he has met, such as dolphins and octopuses.
There were also a number of presentations by students of the Junior School. Canaan Nawarathna (1N) spoke of the Gray Hornbill, while Prasaakya Gunawardena (3I) dazzled his peers with amazing facts about Goliath beetles. Akindu Gamage (4N) and Zulaikah Rahim (2N) spoke about nature, while the last speaker, Sahiru Sandira (5N), spoke for the trees.
