Independence Day Celebrations 2020

72nd Independence Day was celebrated at the Senior School courtyard on 6th February 2020.

All the students from both Junior & Senior Schools participated in the celebrations as one family though they belong to various nationalities, religions, cultures and traditions.

To begin the programme, the National flag was hoisted by the Executive Director followed by the students singing the National Anthem with pride. Many colourful dances, songs and drama highlighting the meaning of true independence were followed by a video presentation educating everyone present about the struggles for freedom in our recent history. We realized that gaining freedom would not have been possible without the heroes who had fought very hard against the British rule.

Commemorating all the great heroes who fought for our freedom, 4th of February is a very important day for all the Sri Lankans as we proudly celebrate our Independence Day every year.
